Wow
It has been awhile. I have really got to get myself together. Well let’s see where do I start.
School--I passed my last 2 classes with an A in Web Page Development and a B in Psychology. We seem to have 3 week in between classes this time. I will be taking Web Page Development II and Origins of Western Culture. I have already got my books so I am doing a little reading ahead of time.
Home & Health--I have not done any cleaning yet. I take that back I started cleaning off the dining room table. I think the reason for this is because my neck has been hurting. I went to the doctor and he is putting me back into traction. YUCK! I have lost 16 pounds but I think I am going to have to do this on my own. I cannot believe how much they charge for their food. My Diabetic eye appointment went well. All thing is looking good as well as my mamo and other appointments. So health wise I am doing well except for the neck, but I can live with that.
Fostering--I have a new foster. This one is a one year old male. This is his write up. “Copper is a one year old buff male, who came in with a chow, was very attached to the chow. His long comments follow. Copper is the cutest little fellow; the pictures I sent do not do him justice. Copper may be a mix perhaps with Pomeranian. I just love him. He is also a hero! Back in May, the ACO received a call about a skinny little cocker by the side of the road. When she arrived Copper was barking at her, then would approach and run away, almost like a game. He persisted and kept running toward a ditch. The ACO followed and found Copper's companion, Penny, in the ditch. Penny is a sweet chow mix who was so malnourished that she could not stand up. The ACO said that had Copper not alerted her Penny would have died in that ditch. She said it was clear that they were very attached to each other. She said it was also interesting that Penny, the chow, initially always pushed her food toward Copper. The ACO tried hard to find a rescue to take them both but then was able to find us and an all breed rescue to take Penny. Penny was still at the shelter and when the ACO let Copper out into the yard he kept trying to run back to his run for Penny while letting out a sorrowful howl. Honestly, I'm glad she already had a rescue commitment for Penny or I would have probably brought her back too. It is assumed that both were dumped from a car together.” If he keeps up his behavior his new name will be Xander and he will be adopted by ME. He really is a sweetheart. I am very close to adopting him. If I do I don’t think I can foster but I can still volunteer. Right now the poor guy has a double ear infection and a cold.

Term Paper
Well it is that time again. My term paper is due next week and I have not even started it and finals are the week after. Boy time is flying by. I went to an adoption show today with my foster. She has been in our system for 2 weeks but she is not even on the web site yet. She was at the vets for 1 week and has been at my house for a week. And she already has 3 people interested in her. She will not be here long. Her name is Hollie Hobbie and I was trying to explain who Hollie Hobbie was to Maltese and Jewel. They just told me I was showing my age. It was funny one of the people interested in her had just brought out her old Hollie Hobbie doll for her kids. I am having the last BBQ of the summer towards the end of the month. I just hope that everyone can come. Hear that out there. I just found out that this time I will have 2 weeks off in between classes. Boy am I going to do some cleaning, then take on a new foster. Maybe I can make my office an office again.

Another Adoption and Foster
Hi Everyone,
Well Tiger got adopted Friday and I picked up Holly on Friday. I already have someone who wants to meet her. Things are going well so far. Well we got the tarp up but I am finding a slight problem. When it rains it forms a swimming hole in the center and brings down the fence with it. So I have to go underneath it and push up to dump the water. So I am going to buy a Teepee type of covering that is made for that size fence. This should fix the problem. Not much going on except dog caring, dieting and school. Yes my house is suffering. I really need to get it cleaned up. I am going to start planning the last BBQ for the summer. It will either be the 19 or the 26th of September. Any preferences out there? I am going to be adopting a cat from a co-worker. Actually it is a kitten. I will need to keep it locked up until it sees a doctor. Apparently the daughter adopted it and can’t seem to take care of it. Boy does that sound familiar. Once again I cannot believe I only have 3 weeks of school left in this quarter, oh heck I cannot believe summer is almost gone. I need to do more BBQ’s. I will try to plan 1 a month next year. My next classes are going to be Web Development 2 and Origins of Western Culture (BORING). Have I mentioned I hate the humanities classes? This is why I have one core class and one humanities class. If I put all the humanities at the end I would never finish.

School.....
Can you believe it is finals already? Next week is final exams and this week is the last week of public schools and the traffic will be sooo much better.
I am starting up a web page again. This is mainly because I can do so much more with a web page. William likes it better because this way he can order the blogs he writes for the saltwater tank. So be on the lookout for that announcement. Besides my B A is in Web development, what better way is there to practiceJ.
Jewel and Bates are going to start taking some of the boxes out of the garage today that is their mothers. I am then going to start heavy cleaning and make the back part of the garage into a makeshift kennel. I am going to put a doggie door on the back and the noise reduction should be down to a minimum and I will not have to worry about the next wire that Willow is going to get into. All I have to do now is buy and A/C and a heater for back there.
Putter’s tank is really starting to come together. They just took a whole bunch of pictures. All they have to do now is to do the write ups. Then I will put it on the web site. I am hoping to have the site ready by next week. I will get a week off from classes and I will use that time for cleaning my office and getting the website up.
I will let you all know how I did when my grades come in.
Have a great day……….

ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi everyone,
As you all know on my last blog my best friend Bambi came all the way from Illinois to come to the BBQ. Boy, that cook must be good, thanks for cooking Maltese. So what has happened since then? Well I made a very important decision. Right know I am scheduled to retire on 10/1/2013, I will have 30 years with the county. My plans were to just stay here until well you know. But of course things change. I have decided that I am going to retire early and go back home. I have already done some things to prepare for this.
1. I have informed the family. I'm not too sure they are happy with me.
2. I have upped my deduction into my deferred comp so that I will have a few extra dollars for the move.
3. As far as school is concerned I do have to go in and find out if I can finish from Illinois. Currently with my class schedule I will receive my diploma come fall of 2012. I have rearranged that schedule so that I will get my Certificate in Information Systems, a Diploma in Information Systems, and AA in Computer Information Systems by summer of 2011. I will receive my BA in spring of 2013. So I am hoping to be home by fall of 2011.
4. With the help of Bambi’s better half I have investigated the cost of living and I should be ok.
5. Telling everyone else, that is why I am putting this in a blog.
There is a lot more to be done. Getting the house here settled, the kids settled packing little things that I do not use but want to keep and seeing things that I have not seen for a while and oh yeah a car. I am sure I will think of a lot more including going to the retirement office to get lots of info. I will keep everyone informed via the blog.
How is that for an announcement?

The 5th Annual Memorial Day BBQ
Wow…What a week. I took off Thursday and Friday in order to get ready for the BBQ and make sure that all of my school work was done. I do not know about everyone else but I had a great time. My best friend from back home and her better half came in to town. I have not seen her since January of 2002. So here is what we did.
Saturday - BBQ, Had pictures of me Dawn and Willow taken, Lots of other pictures , Lots of food, Lots of friends, And lots of family. We also had games and a great cook. I can’t wait to see the pictures.
Monday we went to the Antietam Battlefield. Believe it or not I have never been there. We saw a movie about the battle and took a tour and got rained on. Oh yeah lots of pictures.
Sunday we went to Great Falls, took a boat ride and found out that their older Mule will be put out to pasture soon and her name is the same as mine. We took lots of pictures. Then we went to dinner.
Kathy and I did a lot of talking; a lot of reminiscing and just plain enjoyed each other’s company. Makes me wish I was back in Danville again. I also started my passport back up. 2 stamps in 2 days. This will all go into the scrap books.
Unitl Later.....Have a wonderful Holiday
